Henri Foinquinos and Annette Bohbot
My mom and dad on their wedding day. He was Moses Foinquinos and Esther Abecassis youngest son, his brother was Albert Foinquinos, his sister Alegria Foinquinos. My mom is Annette Bohbot, her family was from Casablanca but also spoke spanish. They seemed so young and their life was in front of them, so full of promises. Dad we all miss you!

Great to read about your family's history, especially your connection to the Abecassis family of Morocco. My great-great grandfather Jacob Abecassis was born in Mogador in 1779 and migrated from there to Dublin where he had a chemist and snuff/tobacco shop. He later travelled to England where his family intermarried with some of the Ashkenazi tribe from Poland. It is an interesting history, and one that I am still yearning to understand. Abecassis I have read, means Abecassis 1) Etymology: O/S: “ibn-qazzaz” [Arabic] “son of a silk-
merchant”; also cf. “ibn-cassas” [Arabic] “son of a storyteller”.
{cf. Abecassis Cortereal}
All the best to you, and great to read your blog, greetings from Perth, West Australia, Tim McCabe
